Chad and Paige DeLude have been married only a short time, but the idea for this business came about on one of our romantic trips to Turtle Island, Fiji. We visited the island to celebrate the wedding of two of our closest friends. While on this secluded, intimate island, we engaged in many romantic activities, both by ourselves and with other couples. One evening stood above all other experiences on the island. We experienced our first intimate Pontoon Dinner. Although the Fijian people made every effort to be professional, we had to laugh as our dinner for the evening was announced to us as being unprepared. Fortunately, the islanders quickly prepared us a meal and took us out to a floating dock. On the way there it was hard to think how amazing this experience was going to be as we wondered if the boat would make it to the dock. However, once on the dock, it was absolutely amazing. The stars, the calming of the water, the quiet conversation with loved ones. Nothing else in the world seem to matter, it was life changing. It was then that we wanted to bring a piece of that experience home, and share it with as many people as we can, so Intimate Journeys was created.
